TEDxGNLU Talk

The TEDxGNLU talk titled "The Matrix Algorithm: From NPCs to Future Architects" shared a personal story that began with a realisation while exploring Generative AI in late 2022. Heavy reliance on AI tools had diminished cognitive capacity in just two months, leading to the realisation that over-dependence on these systems can transform users from active architects of their future into passive receivers of technology.

The talk examined the danger of losing cognitive skills and human agency to convenience, urging the audience to pivot from being passive users to active architects. The most significant risk of AI is not technological unemployment but cognitive atrophy, where over-reliance on AI systems diminishes independent reasoning and creative problem-solving capabilities.

The core message challenged the audience to reclaim their role as architects of their technological future. Preserving human agency in the AI era requires deliberate effort to maintain the cognitive skills that distinguish human intelligence from machine computation.
