GovernAI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DY Patil University School of Law to establish a dedicated Centre for AI and Law, focused on advancing responsible AI through interdisciplinary research and policy development. This centre represents a significant institutional commitment to exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and legal frameworks.
The AI and Law Centre will serve as a hub for research on algorithmic accountability, data protection jurisprudence, AI regulatory frameworks, and the ethical implications of autonomous systems. It will also organize conferences, workshops, and policy dialogues bringing together legal scholars, technologists, policymakers, and industry practitioners to shape the future of AI governance.
The establishment of this centre marks a milestone in institutionalizing AI governance education and research in India.
