AI Workshops with AILF

Tamil Nadu

Conducted an AI Literacy and Safety Workshop in Tamil Nadu in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Legislators' Forum (AILF), continuing the mission to make AI governance accessible at every level of the policy-making ecosystem. The workshops aimed to equip elected representatives and legislative staff with the technical understanding needed to develop informed AI legislation.

The sessions covered AI fundamentals, governance frameworks, and the implications of AI for legislative processes and policy development. Participants explored case studies of AI regulation from around the world and discussed how India's federal structure influences the distribution of AI governance responsibilities between central and state governments.

Engaging with legislators on AI literacy is critical to ensuring that India's AI governance framework is informed by a broad understanding of the technology among those who will shape its regulatory environment. Legislators equipped with AI knowledge can develop more effective, context-appropriate policies that balance innovation with public interest.
