Delivered a guest lecture on AI Policy and Governance at the Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), OP Jindal Global University, tracing the journey from AI fundamentals to the evolving global regulatory landscape. The session provided students and faculty with insights into the geopolitical dimensions of AI governance and India's positioning in the international AI regulatory landscape.
The lecture covered comparative AI governance approaches across major jurisdictions including the European Union's AI Act, the United States' executive orders and voluntary frameworks, and China's state-centric approach. Particular focus was given to India's emerging AI governance model, which seeks to balance innovation with protection through a principle-based techno-legal approach.
The session at JSIA contributed to building a deeper understanding of AI policy among future international affairs professionals. As AI becomes a central topic in international relations and diplomatic discourse, professionals equipped with AI governance knowledge will be essential to shaping collaborative approaches to managing AI's global opportunities and risks.
