Applied AI for Public Sector

This intensive two-day workshop on Applied and Functional AI for the Public Sector was conducted for officers of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM), focusing on building practical AI capabilities for governance applications. Parishrut Jassal led participants through a structured curriculum designed to bridge the gap between AI theory and public sector implementation.

The workshop covered functional AI applications including automated content generation, data analysis and visualization, chatbot implementation for citizen services, and AI-assisted policy research. Participants engaged in hands-on exercises that demonstrated how AI tools can enhance productivity, improve decision-making, and optimize resource allocation within government departments.

By the conclusion of the workshop, officers had developed practical skills in identifying AI opportunities within their workflows and understanding the governance considerations necessary for responsible deployment. The program reinforced UPSDM's commitment to building future-ready AI capabilities across its operations.
