Data Governance & Responsible AI

Parishrut Jassal delivered a session on Data Governance and Responsible AI for officers of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) as part of a comprehensive AI Literacy Workshop. The session addressed the critical intersection of data management practices and ethical AI deployment within government skill development initiatives.

Officers were guided through the principles of data governance, including data quality, security, privacy, and lifecycle management, with particular emphasis on how these principles apply to AI systems. The session also covered the Responsible AI framework, addressing fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethical considerations in AI-driven decision-making.

The training equipped UPSDM officials with the foundational knowledge required to evaluate AI tools and data practices within their programs. Understanding data governance as a prerequisite for responsible AI adoption enables government agencies to build trust and ensure compliance with emerging regulatory standards.
